my 1st mother's day

On my first Mother's Day, I received a poem from my little boy, JD, 3 little cup cakes, a bunch of roses, and lots of love and support from my husband. This is the poem that Jayden's caregiver helped to write. JD's new caregiver at the daycare is call Andrea, a Spanish lady. She is a tall lady, full of love and energy.

Here's the poem: Just For You

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my handprints
On furniture and walls

But everyday I'm growing up
And soon I'll be so tall
That all those little fingerprints
Will be hard to recall

So here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today

(And with help from Andrea, JD printed his little hand in blue at the bottom of the poem)

I picked JD up from his new daycare on Thursday and with help from Andrea and the other 3 older kids (Taylor, Connor and Abigail), he made me 3 little cupcakes with pink icing on it. I fnished all the 3 cupcakes by myself over 3 days...and it was the best cupcakes I have ever had, simply because it was made with lots of love and thoughts from JD and his 3 other friends at the daycare. This has been a very special Mother's Day for me. JD has been going to Andrea for the last 3 weeks, and so far it has been going well. The house is always filled with kids' laughter when I arrive to pick him up and the older kids love having JD around too.

One of the older kids, Taylor (4 years old) always come to hold my hands when I arrive to pick him up and she always say "Here, look at your baby, he is here". I also believe that God has answered my prayer of helping me to look for a suitable caregiver for JD. I was feeling very discouraged and sad after the first unpleasant experience. But mum told me to pray, and to find comfort in praying. And so I did, day after day, and continued do so as I brought JD along with me to check out the various daycares.
