hugs are good

Hugs are good..big hugs, small hugs, baby hugs, bear hugs, i love u hugs..they are all good.

JD has never been a big fan of hugs but lately, I have started to notice him hugging his puppy when he is fast asleep in his cot, giving mommy a big hug b4 he goes to bed, hugging mommy from the back when she is in the kitchen....little hugging moments that took me by surprise.

Hugs are good, and especially more on a bad day....I love the hugs JD gives me at night b4 he goes to sleep. It is reassuring, comforting and for me to tell him how much I have missed him during the day and that i love him.

Friend's dad at work has been diagosed with colon cancer last week, and further scans revealed brian tumour, lung and kidney disease. In times like this, we try to look for the most positive, encouraging, uplifting words....but you know the other person is just shattered deep down. I never really know what to do in times like this, but I know hugs are always good. And they will need lots of them.

"Hugging is good medicine. It transfers energy, and gives the person hugged an emotional boost. You need four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance, and twelve for growth. A hug makes you feel good. The skin is the largest organ we have and it needs a great deal of care. A hug can cover a lot of skin and gives the message that you care. It is also a form of communication. It can say things you don't have words for. The nicest thing about a hug is that you usually can't give one without getting one. "
